The University of Colorado Buffaloes may have encountered a series of on-field setbacks, recording a disappointing 4-6 win-loss record leading up to their Friday night game against Washington State. Despite this, the team has sparked considerable online enthusiasm and garnered attention on social media, turning into a significant digital phenomenon. Colorado's visibility across social platforms has soared, attracting followers and celebrities alike. Notable figures such as Snoop Dogg, DJ Khaled, Rick Ross, and Tom Brady regularly post about the Buffaloes, amplifying the team's online presence. Colorado Buffaloes Face Humiliating Defeat Against Washington State

+

The Colorado Buffaloes experienced a crushing 56-14 defeat against Washington State, marked by a series of mishaps that encapsulated their struggles on Friday. In a third-quarter play that epitomized the Buffaloes' woes, walk-on third-string quarterback Gavin Kuld faced an unfortunate sequence. Attempting a pass that was batted back to him, Kuld caught the ball and threw it again, breaching football's rule against two forward passes. Although the Cougars could have penalized this, they opted to claim an interception, allowing CU to escape the penalty. This moment highlighted a lack of understanding, discipline, and a string of errors that led to a colossal setback. nfr live stream

Colorado Cross Country Wraps Season with Disappointing NCAA Championship Finish

+

The Colorado cross country program, renowned for its storied history, faced a challenging outing at the NCAA Championships, marking a downturn for the Buffaloes. Under the helm of head coach Mark Wetmore, the Buffaloes made their 29th appearance in the national final, yet this year marked a less than stellar showing. The women's team landed 19th, while the men's squad secured the 25th spot at Panorama Farms in Charlottesville, Virginia. This championship marked an anomaly in Wetmore's tenure, with the Buffs missing the top 10 team standings for only the second time. The prior instance was in 2008 when the men finished 12th post the women's absence from the finals. nfr live stream

Following another loss by his team, this time a close 34-31 defeat to No. 24 Arizona, Colorado football coach Deion Sanders expressed apologies on two fronts on Saturday. Firstly, he extended his regrets to the Colorado players, especially those playing their final game at Folsom Field, for not giving them the victorious send-off they deserved. Additionally, Sanders expressed his remorse to the devoted Colorado fans, who consistently filled the stadium throughout the season, only to see the team conclude with a disappointing 2-4 home record in what was Sanders' inaugural season as coach.

Sports Illustrated should rewrite 'Colorado State vs. Colorado in Denver' College Football Road Trip

+

The Aug. 14 issue of Sports Illustrated featured a 2017 college football preseason top 25, along with a suggested road trip to guide fans. One of the stops on the cross-country route was in Denver, Colo for the Rocky Mountain Showdown. Except it didn't give a good description of the match-up, or the Mile High City. Here's a suggested redo with more accuracy. The Buffs are coming off one of the best turnaround season's in college football history. Despite an off-the-field issue with former coach Joe Tumpkin, the Buffs are focused on football going into the 2017 season. The Rocky Mountain Showdown has been played in Denver going back to 1998, but should be moved back to campus for a more enhanced atmosphere. Colorado has won the past two years, including a 44-7 win in 2016, the largest margin of victory for either team in the series going back to 1956. Grab a beer at one of the many craft breweries in downtown Denver- before the game as most close before Midnight. Falling Rock Tap House is an option with a long walk or Lyft after the game, despite normal Friday night LoDo traffic congestion. Get on the road by 9 a.m. Sunday. You're going for a seven-hour run of nothing to Manhattan, Kans, where Bill Snyder is still coaching. Be careful and watch out for deer along interstate 70. There's nothing good about explaining that situation to a rental car company. Less than two weeks until the start of the college football season. #NeverStopRising
