Buffaloes 27-point underdogs at UCLA

Colorado hopes to avoid another blow out on the road against the Bruins.

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

If the Colorado Buffaloes hope to get their first conference win since early in the 2012 season they will have to surmount some pretty big odds to do so. The Buffs are currently 27-point underdogs for the matchup against UCLA this coming Saturday in Los Angeles. The line initially opened at 24 but quickly shot up after early money came in heavy on the Bruins. The spread is the Buffaloes third largest after Oregon at home (39) and Arizona State on the road (28.5).

The Bruins come into the game at 5-2 after two straight losses on the road to the best two teams in the conference. Prior to the losses UCLA had won five straight games including wins away from home against Nebraska and Utah, two teams that don't look quite as impressive as they did a few weeks ago. With games against Arizona, Arizona State, and USC still remaining the Bruins are still in control of their own destiny when it comes to the Pac-12 South.

Kickoff for against UCLA on Saturday is 5:30 p.m. MT.
