The Colorado Buffaloes spent yet another Pac-12 game getting nowhere close to a lead, yet alone a win. Previously, the Buffs were blown out against Arizona State and USC. Those are two good-ish teams this year. This week, the 1-5 California Golden Bears took their turn stomping on CU. Another devastatingly terrible game from the offense led to an absolutely blowout, 26-3.
The game started slow and went slower for the Buffalo offense. The Buffs allowed six sacks today to a team ranked 11th in the conference in sacks. They allowed 12 tackles for loss to a team that ranked 11th in the conference in tackles for loss. They also gained 104 yards against a team ranked last in yards allowed that gives up an average of 400 per game.
I won’t bore you with any of the game flow details because the game flow was the same from the first whistle to the last. Cal’s offense had stuttering success as CU’s defense continues to fight. Chase Garbers had a great game and found all sorts of room on the ground. CU’s offense found no success all game, were blown off the line of scrimmage and had no apparent strategy.
SOMETHING’S GOTTA GIVE. The Buffs play the Oregon Ducks next Saturday on national television. Yippee.
