Colorado Football to play Oregon in LA in runner-up battle

COVID makes a conference do some strange things

After a disappointing loss at home to the Utah Utes, the Colorado Buffaloes... stay 2nd in the Pac-12 South Division. This unexpected success continues a year of full of “unexpecteds” for the Buffs, and that’s true for the game next Saturday:

It’s officially official, your Buffs are scheduled to face off against the Oregon Ducks. This is a redux of the cancelled Pac-12 opener that was scheduled this year, with Oregon coming to Boulder. However, in this crazy time, the Buffs and the Ducks are facing off in the Coliseum in Los Angeles. Why is that? Well, in a shockingly forward thinking move, the Pac-12 is having the runner up from each division travel to the same spot as the division champions in order to better allow for a replacement, should one of Washington or USC or both fall ill.

Next week, at 7 PM, CU faces a young Oregon squad that has its ups and downs this year. Both teams defeated their mutual opponents, Stanford and UCLA, though Oregon faced a Stanford that was without Davis Mills. It should be a fun matchup for both teams, though the game is a little diminished with the loss of Nate Landman.
