Colorado announces uniforms for UCLA

It’s a “Friday Night Blackout” for the Bruins.

NCAA Football: Colorado at Arizona State Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

The Colorado Buffaloes are ‘back in black’ following the bye week against the UCLA Bruins. A black jersey, black pants and gold helmet will be the combination the Buffs are rolling with on Friday night (7 p.m. MT/ TV: FS1).

The last time CU wore this combo was in last year’s road contest in Tempe, Ariz vs. Arizona State.

UCLA and Colorado have traded wins over the past two season with both home teams pulling out a win. The conference opener is the second of at least three Friday night games for the Buffaloes this year. They opened the season with a 45-13 win over Colorado State on Aug 31. CU is 14-22 all-time on Fridays during the regular season.

In terms of conference play, CU is 80-42-2 all-time in 124 previous openers and 2-5 as a member of the Pac- 12 (0-4 when at home). This marks the 496th game in Folsom Field history, starting the countdown to 500 being the regular-season finale vs. Utah.
