College Football AP Top 25: Colorado Buffaloes receiving votes for a third straight week

The Buffs look to creep into the rankings if they can beat UCLA on Friday night.

The Colorado Buffaloes (3-0) didn’t have to play in Week 4 and found themselves just outside the AP Top 25 rankings. Six ranked teams fell in defeat on Saturday, pushing five unranked team from the prior week into the polls for the first time this season.

Thirteen teams remain undefeated in the polls going into week 5. One of the biggest upsets came when Old Dominion shocked No. 13 Virginia Tech at home with backup Monarchs quarterback Blake LaRussa throwing for 495 yards and four touchdowns to torch the Hokies, 49-35. ODU started the season winless at 0-3 before pulling off their first win over a Power 5 school as a member of Conference USA.

No. 1 Alabama had no problems with No. 22 Texas A&M, marching to a 45-23 win. It marked 21 straight wins at home for the Crimson Tide and the sixth consecutive over the Aggies going back to 2013.
