Buffs look good going into Southern California

NCAA Football: Colorado at Arizona Casey Sapio-USA TODAY Sports

The No. 19 Colorado Buffaloes are bringing a gold rush into the LA Coliseum on Saturday. The gold helmet, white jersey and gold pants combination is a swift departure from the all black of the previous two weeks. Colorado will be wearing this combo for the first time in 2018 when they take the field against USC on Saturday night (8:30 p.m. MT/ TV: FS1).

CU previously wore this combination against Arizona two years ago in a 49-24 win in the desert.

Colorado has never defeated USC going back to 1924, despite the series being closer in recent years. This will be the first night game at the Coliseum for the Buffs and Trojans as members of the Pac-12. USC (3-2) suffered back-to-back losses at No. 10 Stanford and at Texas early in the season. CU (5-0) is the last remaining team west of the Mississippi with No. 7 Oklahoma’s 48-45 loss vs. Texas.
