Colorado Buffaloes’ suspended defensive back Anthony Julmisse has been dismissed from the team per coach Mike MacIntyre.
Julmisse, 19, was arrested for a second time and faces charges of domestic violence following a fight with a woman at his residence last month, in addition to robbery, first-degree trespassing, and careless driving, stemming from a separate incident.
MacIntyre and CU did a careful review of the facts before dismissing Julmisse, who was arrested for the first time on July 28. The sophomore played in all 14 games last season as a true freshman for CU, including the Alamo Bowl against Oklahoma State. He was utilized in roles on both sides of the ball, in addition to kick return duties on special teams.
Redshirt freshman Trey Udoffia took over the starting cornerback position vacated by Julmisse. He finished the Rocky Mountain Showdown vs. CSU with an interception and two pass deflections. Colorado opens their home schedule on Saturday, Sept. 9 against Texas State at Noon.
