The Colorado Buffaloes (2-0, 0-0) will be looking for redemption two Saturday’s from now against the No. 6 Washington Huskies (2-0, 0-0). The rematch of last year’s Pac-12 championship game and the first conference game of the season for both teams will be nationally televised on Fox Sports 1 at 8:00 p.m. MT.
Colorado scraped together two wins against Colorado State and Texas State by a combined score of 54-6. The Buffaloes are one of three teams (Clemson, Air Force) that haven’t allowed a touchdown thus far into the season. Washington is holding strong in the top ten with an opening-season win at Rutgers and a home blowout against Montana. The Huskies host Fresno State this week before heading to Boulder.
Washington rides a seven-game winning streak over Colorado going back nearly two decades. The last series win for the Buffaloes came on Dec. 30, 1996, a 33-21 victory in the Holiday Bowl.
CU plays host to Northern Colorado this Saturday (9/16) at Noon MT (TV: Pac12N, Radio: 850 KOA). The in-state schools last met five years before the start of World War II in 1934.
