Pac-12 announces early 2017 football schedule

The Colorado Buffaloes will be featured on the Pac-12 network for the first three weeks of the 2017 season. The season opener against Colorado State (Sept. 1, 6 p.m. MT) will be televised for the first time on the Pac-12 network and the eighty-ninth edition of the Rocky Mountain Showdown. The following two weeks has games with FCS Texas State Bobcats (Sept 9, noon MT) and Northern Colorado Bears (Sept. 16, noon MT).

Oregon State opens the season on the road in Fort Collins against CSU (CBSSN, Aug. 26) in the new stadium and a week prior to the in-state rivalry with the Buffs in Denver. Other games of interest in the non-conference schedule include a Sept. 2 meeting between USC and last year’s New Year’s bowl game participant Western Michigan on the Pac-12 Network. September 9 has two power conference matchup’s of Pac-12/Big Ten teams with Oregon State hosting Minnesota and Oregon facing Nebraska.

Tickets for CU/CSU will be on sale Wednesday, July 5 available online at CUBuffs.com or at the box office on campus.

Per the Pac-12 conference agreement and according to CU’s Dave Plati, “All remaining games are on the selection menu of the Pac-12’s television partners, ESPN-ABC, FOX Sports-FS-1 and the Pac-12 Networks, with arrangements announced usually 12 days in advance, though on occasion it can be as few as six days.”
