Colorado announces Senior Day uniforms vs. USC

All that’s missing is the black tie.

The Colorado Buffaloes (5-5, 2-5 Pac-12) meet the No. 15 USC Trojans (8-2, 6-1 Pac-12) for Senior Day on Saturday and will be wearing all black uniforms. The ‘Darth Vader’ is a popular look for the Buffaloes since receiving Nike’s updated combinations three years ago.

Colorado last wore the blackout uniforms on Oct. 1 at the Rose Bowl in a 27-23 loss vs. UCLA. The team returns to Folsom Field to honor a talented group of seniors including Shay Fields, Bryce Bobo, Devin Ross, George Fraizer, Afolabi Laguda, Phillip Lindsay, Leo Jackson, Jeromy Irwin, and Derek McCartney.

The odds are stacked against the Buffaloes picking up a win this week. Colorado is winless against Southern Cal in eleven tries going back to 1927. The last top 25 upset for the Buffaloes came on Oct. 17, 2009 over the No. 17 Kansas Jayhawks. It was a 34-30 win behind Tyler Hansen and Rodney Stewart’s 317 yards of total offense and four touchdowns. CU enters this weekend as a 13.5 point underdog according to most sports books.

The Buffs and Trojans kickoff on Saturday, Nov. 11 at 2 pm MT with a national telecast on FOX.
