Stat of the Week: QB Steven Montez has thrown for over 300 yards four times this year, including in each of the last three games, a CU record for the most consecutive games with 300 yards passing, and his four total games this season is just one off of tying the school record of five that Montez’s predecessor, Sefo Liufau, set in 2014. The only other Colorado quarterback with four 300-yard passing games in a season was Koy Detmer in 1996. Montez is one of only three quarterbacks in the Pac-12 this year to throw for 300-plus in three consecutive outings: UCLA’s Josh Rosen did it in five straight (he has a league high seven 300-yard passing games this year), and Washington State’s Luke Falk also did in three in a row (he and USC’s Sam Darnold have six 300-yard games in 2017).
