The Colorado Buffaloes (5-4, 2-4 Pac-12) will play on national television when they host the USC Trojans (7-2, 5-1 Pac-12) on November 11. The game will aired on FOX with a 2 p.m. MT start time.
The Buffaloes will take on the Trojans on Senior Day, the last home game of the season. For Phillip Lindsay and the rest of these seniors, nothing would be better than finally beating USC.
Upsetting USC won’t be easy. They came into the season as a national championship contender, and though they haven’t lived up to those lofty expectations, they’re still ranked #18 in the nation. Injuries have run them thin, but Sam Darnold and a physical rushing attack led by Ronald Jones will definitely challenge the Buffaloes defense.
Colorado is one win away from bowl eligibility and if they’re unable to topple the Arizona State Sun Devils on the road this coming weekend, a win against USC would get them to a bowl game. If they beat ASU and USC, they’re suddenly 7-4 on the season and play their last game against the Utah Utes, who have apparently collapsed. Not saying anything will happen, but we could be looking back on our panic from the past two weeks in awe.
Anyway, let’s focus the rest of the week on the Arizona State game because winning there and securing bowl eligibility would allow the Buffs to play loose the rest of the season.
