This week’s homecoming game for the Colorado Buffaloes against the California Golden Bears will be a memorable one. CU has decided to stick with tradition with gold helmets, black jerseys and gold pants. A third time this season the Buffaloes will have worn the traditional home set and they’ll look to go 3-0 after victories against Colorado State and Northern Colorado.

The traditional uniform honors the late Rashaan Salaam, who rushed for a record 2,055 yards in 1994 along with becoming the school’s only Heisman Trophy winner to date. The remarkable career for Salaam will go down in CU history as one of the best. A honor that comes posthumously after Salaam took his own life last December at the age of 42.
A 12:08 pm kickoff for this week’s game with television coverage on the Pac-12 Network. Colorado is currently favored by 3.5 points according to most sports books.
