Fan Poll: Will the Colorado Buffaloes pull off an upset in 2017?

Can the Buffaloes knock off one of the Pac-12 heavyweights?

The Colorado Buffaloes’ last upset over a higher-ranked opponent occurred in 2009. On a cold mid-October night in Boulder, the No. 17 Kansas Jayhawks fell to the Buffs, 34-30, behind an outstanding effort from Tyler Hansen and Rodney Stewart. CU’s backup quarterback and starting running back accounted for 317 yards of total offense and four touchdowns on the night.

Furthermore, the Buffaloes last defeat of a top ten opponent came at Folsom Field on Sept. 30, 2007 against No. 3 Oklahoma. The 27-24 win over the heavily-favorited Sooners, a team laden with NFL talents Sam Bradford and DeMarco Murray, derailed their chances at competing for a national championship.

Which prompts the question, is CU due for an upset this year? The Buffaloes have yet to topple a superior Pac-12 opponent and will likely have the opportunity to do so again this season.
