Sefo Liufau and Chidobe Awuzie, two longtime standouts for the Buffs, have made the roster for the Senior Bowl, the most prestigious “all-star” game for college and a huge opportunity for these players to get in front of pro scouts (UPDATE: Awuzie is not participating in the game due to injury). Awuzie is probably the most well-known Colorado player nationally, but after the Buffs’ strong showing at the East West Shrine Game, CU will have a few names called on draft day.
Sefo Liufau is one of three quarterbacks on the North team, joining Nate Peterman from Pitt and C.J. Beathard from Iowa. He should get a good amount of snaps compared to those two, which will help him stand out. He will be wearing number 3. Chidobe Awuzie is also on the North team, and he will be facing Davis Webb, one time Colorado signee. Awuzie should get plenty of playing time and CU fans know how well he can play when he does play.
The Reese’s Senior Bowl will take place on Saturday, January 28 at 12:30 MT on NFL Network. Good luck to both Buffs, we’ll certainly be watching.
