In less than two week, the Colorado Buffaloes will take the field for the 2016 football season and for Coach Mike MacIntrye time can't pass quick enough. He's ready for the season and confident about what's going to happen in the Rocky Mountain Showdown with the Colorado State Rams.
CUBuffs.com beat writer, Neill Woelk, noted Mac's comments after Friday's practice and it started out with general observations.
.@CoachMikeMac on offensive and defensive lines: 'We've got the dudes.'

A great reassurance "the dudes" of both lines will come through in the clutch this season. The battles in practice have instilled trust for Mac and he's feeling his players are ready to "Can some Ram" as well.
Mac: These young men have been through the wars. Every day I see them I believe in them more and more.

MacIntyre then gave a preview of how the Buffs will handle the Rams.....
Mac: 14 days from now we'll be eating a pregame meal and getting ready to kick someone's ### up north.

If that doesn't get you fired up for the 2016 college football season, I don't know what will. The 88th meeting of Rocky Mountain Showdown is scheduled for a 6:05 pm MT kickoff on Friday, Sept. 2 and will be nationally telecast on ESPN.
