On the day the Buffs picked up their 13th commitment of the 2017 cycle, they found out they will have another scholarship available. Patrick Carr is leaving the program to transfer somewhere closer to his home in Texas, according to Brian Howell of the Daily Camera.
Carr, a rising sophomore, played in 10 games last season, averaging 4.1 yards per carry on his way to rushing for 272 yards on 66 attempts as well as one touchdown. He also made five catches for 52 yards.
For the Buffs, this means that they're losing two of their top four rushers from last season as Carr joins Christian Powell in departing. Luckily, as far as a situation goes where you lose two of the top four rushers, this is as good as it gets, as they finished third (Powell) and fourth (Carr). With Phil Lindsay, Donovan Lee and Michael Adkins all returning, as well as Beau Bisharat and Anthony Julmisse coming in, the program should be just fine.
The best of luck to Patrick wherever he lands.
