If you’re planning on pre New Year’s trip to San Antonio for the Alamo Bowl, it could cost nearly $1,208 per person, according to TripAdvisor.com.
The popular social booking site provides options through every major airliner for an average of $606 roundtrip per person, leaving from Denver International Airport a day before the game and coming back the following day.
If you’re wanting to cut it close, American Airlines currently has the cheapest ticket at $485, coming in the day of the game and leaving less than 24 hours the next morning. United Airlines has the most expensive flight option at $2,228 roundtrip that leaves DIA the day before the game and returns Dec. 30.
The San Antonio area has many hotel options starting at $30 per night at Fiesta Inn and Suites to $415 per stay at Hotel Emma. Some very decent accommodations for a stay are Courtyard by Marriott North/ Stone Oak at Legacy, Residence Inn Downtown and Elian Hotel and Spa, all three from $140 per night.
Another option for the trip is provided by Alamobowl.com via Prime Sports, and includes a 3-night stay at the Hyatt Regency Riverwalk (team hotel) starting at $695 per person without air accommodations and $1575 with a roundtrip flight.
Tickets for the Alamo Bowl are still available with the best value being a $100 four pack of family tickets that includes a BBQ meal voucher. Single game tickets available through Ticketmaster range between $35-$295.
