Colorado moves up to No. 15/16 in this weeks polls

The Buffaloes benefitted from a close victory over UCLA and a few Top 25 upsets.

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

The Colorado Buffaloes continued their move up the Top 25 rankings on Sunday after their ugly victory over the UCLA Bruins. The Buffs used another win and a number of losses from teams ranked above them to move from No. 21 to No. 16 in the AP Poll and from No. 20 to No. 15 in the Coaches Poll.

This is the third straight week, and fourth overall, that the Buffs have been ranked in 2016. They have at least two games against teams currently in the Top 25 remaining in No. 23 Washington State and No. 13/12 Utah. If Colorado wins the South, they would likely play No. 4 Washington in the Pac-12 Championship game.

As the Buffaloes came in at No. 15 in the initial College Football rankings of the season we can reasonably expect that they should be very close to reaching the top ten when the new rankings come out on Tuesday.

Next up for Colorado is a road game on Saturday night against the Arizona Wildcats.
