With a 25-point margin of victory in a 49-24 road win over Arizona the Colorado Buffaloes stayed tied with the Temple Owls for the best record against the spread this season at 9-1. The Buffaloes closed as 18-point favorites over the Wildcats (the line surged up from 16 on Sunday) and rolled in the second half to come out on top in both phases of the game. The only time Colorado has not covered this season was against UCLA just over a week ago.
With the first of two huge final home match-ups for Colorado announced as a 1:30 kickoff on Fox against Washington State we now have an opening line to discuss. Las Vegas has opened the spread with the Buffaloes as four-point favorites over the Cougars.
Washington State, 8-2 overall and the only team in the Pac-12 left unbeaten in conference play, is 6-4 against the spread, covering two straight games with big wins over Arizona and California. Saturday's game is a match-up between the conferences' two division leaders with games awaiting the following week against their competition for the title (and USC ready to claim the South with a Colorado loss).
