The Colorado Buffaloes faced their largest conference point spread in ages this past weekend as 19-point home favorites against the Oregon State Beavers and were able to avoid a letdown in a big blowout. This coming Saturday, carrying a 5-0 record against the spread, the Buffaloes will be 4-point underdogs as they head to Los Angeles to take on the USC Trojans.
USC, while coming off a big win over previously undefeated Arizona State, has had a disappointing season so far. After a blowout, embarrassing loss to Alabama in the opener the Trojans bounced back against Utah State only to fall to Stanford and Utah in consecutive road losses. They looked like a different team in the home game against the Sun Devils, winning 41-20. Sam Darnold has taken over for Max Browne at quarterback and played strong in two games with 741 yards and five touchdowns to go with only one interception. Stocked with talented playmakers all over the field, the Buffaloes will have to pay special attention to JuJu Smith-Schuster, who is dynamite with the ball in his hands.
