Colorado - Arizona State line opens at -8 and quickly skyrockets

Somebody (lots of people) out there loves the Buffaloes.

Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

If you're both a Buffaloes fan AND a chronic gambler who loves to bet with his or her heart then you have had a fantastic start to the 2016 season. The Buffs may have had two close losses in the standings but they remain undefeated against the point spread at 6-0.

They'll try and keep that streak alive this Saturday night at Folsom when the Arizona St. Sun Devils come to Boulder. After opening for the week at Colorado -8 the line quickly jumped up and kept rising until it sat at -13.5 by Monday afternoon. This will be the Buffaloes third biggest spread of the season after Idaho State (sort of) and Oregon State.

Arizona State sits at 5-1 and tied for first place in the Pac-12 South after a big win over UCLA. Against the spread the Sun Devils sit at 4-2, not covering against USTA (favored by 21.5, won by 4) and USC (nine point underdogs, lost by 21). The Sun Devils are banged up at the quarterback position and will be starting either a hobbled Manny Wilkins (leg) or what amounts to their fourth-string quarterback (third-stringer Bryce Perkins was injured in the preseason) in Dillon Sterling-Cole.
