Stephen Tsai of the Honolulu Star-Advertiser is reporting on Twitter that the Rainbow Warriors are thinking over an offer to take on the Colorado Buffaloes in Boulder on October 19th. The date is currently a bye week for the Buffs and would serve to make up the game that was cancelled against Fresno State this past Saturday.
UH mulling $600,000 offer to play Colorado Oct. 19 in Boulder. Decision expected Wednesday.

This report means that negotiations between the Buffs, Bulldogs and a third school to try and find a way to reschedule the originally planned game most likely aren't going anywhere fast. Colorado definitely wants to play a 12th game and they really want it to be in Boulder to help make up for the revenue that was lost with the cancellation.
The Rainbow Warriors last traveled to Boulder in 2010 in a game that Colorado won 31-13. They would certainly be a step down in competition from the Bulldogs, who may be the most talented Non-AQ team in the nation this year. Hawaii has started 0-2 with losses to USC and Oregon State.
