Buffaloes quarterback Jordan Webb and now former offensive lineman Alex Lewis were both arrested last night in Boulder. Webb received a charge of second degree assault while Lewis received the same and plus two additional charges of harassment
Webb, last year's starting quarterback for most of the season who tore his ACL this spring, had recently discovered that he could potentially return to the team around October. Lewis had announced on Friday his intentions to transfer to Nebraska, but one wonders how this incident could potentially change those plans.
Second degree assault in Colorado is a felony and considered a violent crime in Colorado and would carry a mandatory prison sentence if convicted.
We will bring you more as it is released.
