Nick Kasa's long, strange road to the NFL has finally come to an end with his selection in the sixth round. The Oakland Raiders called Kasa's name with the fourth pick of the round and the 172nd overall.
Kasa originally committed to the University of Florida, but came to Colorado after no seasons in Gainesville. Just games away from the end of his junior season, He transitioned to the tight end position, ending the year with one catch. His senior season, Kasa really showed some talent catching the ball, finishing with 391 yards and 3 touchdowns on 25 receptions.
Kasa is definitely a project at the tight end position, but NFL teams were intrigued with his ability and potential high ceiling. It would be great to see him have a long career in the league, even if it does have to start in Oakland.
