BYU site All Blue Everything has reported that an interview between the Colorado Buffaloes has already taken place and Mendenhall could be considering the position. WIth Butch Jones coming into to Boulder this morning, it seems as though Colorado may have narrowed their list and are speaking to the first group of final candidates.
BREAKING: Just confirmed with a source here in Boulder that Bronco Mendenhall has interviewed with CU to be their next football coach.

Not 100% sure but it looks like CU officials traveled to Utah to conduct the interview. CU also expected to interview Butch Jones.

Potential reason why Bronco would leave for CU? Expectations. If he goes 7-5 next year at CU he's a king. 7-5 at BYU again and he's cooked.

Mendenhall is a well-regarded coach who would be seen as a strong hire for the Buffs. He would be an interesting fit in the community, Boulder and Provo are about as night and day different as it can get, but the guy can coach.
