California Golden Bears, Division 1-A (FBS), Pac-12 Conference

Season To-Date:
Win at Northwestern, 31-24
Win vs. Sacramento State, 55-14
Loss at Arizona, 45-49

Head Coach: Sonny Dykes (2nd season as head coach at Cal, previously at Lousiana Tech)

Offensive Coordinator: Tony Franklin (2nd season as offensive coordinator at Cal, formerly coordinator at Lousiana Tech)

Defensive Coordinator: Art Kaufman (1st season as defensive coordinator at Cal, formerly defensive coordinator at Cincinnati )

Key Players: QB Jared Goff, So (890 yards, 10 TD's, 2 interceptions), WR Chris Harper, Jr (143 yards, 2 TD's), WR Bryce Treggs, Jr (162 yards, 2 TD)

The Lowdown: This Cal team looks like an entirely different beast than the one that Colorado defeated 41-24 in Boulder last season. The Bears were one incredible fourth quarter from Arizona away from starting the season 3-0 with two road wins. The Sonny Dykes offense looks to be in warp speed with a much improved performance from sophomore quarterback Jared Goff and a much improved running game. The defense is still finding it's way but will still be able to press the Buffs.
