Colorado went down early, but they put a valiant effort to come back against UCLA on the road before falling 72-65.
CU made hard work for themselves as they committed 18 turnovers in the first half. The Buffs managed to limit their turnovers in the second half, and they were able to mount a comeback in the second half and even took the lead down the stretch.
Jamee Swan led Colorado with 17 points, and seniors Lexy Kresl and Jasmine Sborov added 13 and 11 points, respectively.
The Buffs didn't turn over the ball as much in the second half, but after taking the lead CU gave away the ball to UCLA at several key points in the game. The Bruins failed to fully capitalize on the myriad of turnovers, but Nirra Fields tallied 24 points to help UCLA pull away.
Linda Lappe’s Buffs will take on USC this Sunday and look to improve on their 10-12 record.
