Seniors Jen Reese, Jasmine Sborov and Lexy Kresl made their Senior Night one to remember in an 84-69 victory over Oregon.
"They bring energy every day in practice. They're consistent, you know what you're going to get when you see those three step on the floor," said Coach Linda Lappe about her three seniors.
All three seniors played an integral role in the victory and each scored in double digits. Kresl led the team with 16 points, and Reese and Sborov added 15 and 13, respectively. Jamee Swan also contributed 15 points.
"I think it was good that all three of us stepped up and just set the tone," said Kresl.
The Buffaloes started slow, and they fell behind by 13 points in the first seven minutes of the game. Similarly to their last game, a 66-44 loss to Oregon State, they turned the corner late in the first half, and took a two point lead and momentum into half time.
But this time around the Buffs were able to bury their opposition in the second half. CU shot 50.0% from the field, and held the Ducks to 38% in the second half.
The win puts their record at 12-16 on the season and 5-11 in Pac-12 play. With two regular season games remaining, Colorado will wrap up their regular season away from home against Oregon State and Oregon before heading to Seattle for the Pac-12 Conference Tournament.
"As you start to get toward the end of the season, you just want to be playing your best. Anything can happen, that's why they call it March Madness," said Lappe.
