The CU women's basketball team had to go into overtime for their second consecutive game, but they were able to pull out a 97-89 victory over the San Jose Spartans to improve their record to 6-1.
The Buffs continued their early season prolific output by scoring 50 points in the first half, and finishing with two players with over 20 points. Jamee Swan finished with a team high 26 points and Haley Smith added 24 points to the Buffs total.
Colorado shot an impressive 45.6% from the field, and pulled in the overtime period through six made free throws from Lexy Kresl. After allowing San Jose State to score 85 points in regulation, the Buffaloes held the Spartans to only four in overtime.
Two more Buffs finished in double digits, Jen Reese with 17 points and Lauren Huggins with 12 points.
CU's next game is Sunday at #22 ranked Iowa.
