Scoring variety and depth led to the Colorado women's basketball team dismantling CSU-Pueblo, 90-57 in an exhibition game.

Lappe's teams at CU have typically utilized scoring by committee, and with the absence of Arielle Roberson through injury, this performance seems to be an early indicator that the trend will continue.

Every Buff who played scored, including three players who scored in double digits. Bri Watts led the scoring for the Buffs with 14 points in her first game after not playing last year.

"It was like being back in high school, being able to play. I finally got be out on the court with my teammates," said Watts.

CU will open the regular season with tougher competition in the prestigious Preseason Women's NIT.

"Our exhibition game is very much like a dress rehearsal, in that there's a lot of things that we have to learn," said head coach Linda Lappe.

CU opens their season with the WNIT match-up against North Dakota on Saturday, Nov. 15.
