Two-time All-Pac-12 honorable mention forward Arielle Roberson will miss the 2014-15 season after suffering a torn ACL during individual workouts last week.

The 2014-15 campaign will mark the second season Roberson has missed due to injury. The junior redshirted her true freshman season after hip surgery to repair a torn labrum

"We're devastated for Arielle, knowing how hard she has worked in the offseason," said head coach Linda Lappe, who herself missed considerable amounts of her sophomore and redshirt junior seasons with injuries. "She was looking as strong as I've seen her and we were looking forward to having a healthy Arielle this winter.  But that doesn't always make you adverse to injury. I feel for Arielle and I can understand the emotions she's going through."

After being named Pac-12 Freshman of the Year in 2012-13, Roberson led the Buffs in scoring last year, averaging 12.0 points per game. Roberson also paced Colorado in rebounds (8.3), minutes (30.5), and free-throw attempts (169).

The 2014-15 season officially begins tomorrow for the Buffs with the start of practice. Colorado tips off the regular season by hosting North Dakota in the first round of the Preseason WNIT.
