The Colorado Buffaloes trip to Tempe was always going to be a huge swing game for the Buffs and their thin bowl hopes, but a loss to Hawaii combined with an expected loss to the Oregon and Sun Devil struggles (at least until this past weekend) have made this road trip an even more crucial one. After opening as 12.5-point underdogs to Arizona State yesterday the line has already moved to 15.
Arizona State's season has been a roller coaster so far. The Sun Devils had been highly disappointing through four games, losing badly to Texas A&M and USC and not looking too impressive against Cal Poly and New Mexico. It was in their first true road game of the season against No. 7 UCLA that ASU saved their season. A huge win over the new Pac-12 favorites has the Sun Devils back on the upswing and hoping to continue marching towards a South title and appearance in the Pac-12 Championship game.
With a road trip to No. 5 Utah next weekend Buffs fans hope that the Sun Devils will be looking past this weekends matchup. Saturday night will be a huge fork in the road for both teams seasons, one that hopefully send the Buffaloes in the right direction.
