The Buffs need more big bodies that can move. Bill McCartney made a living out of recruiting athletes and figuring out where they play later. Blayne Toll transferring to the Colorado Buffaloes is a good sign that CU is not done getting bigger and more athletic, through the transfer portal or otherwise.
Toll joins the Buffs by way of Arkansas, where he flip-flopped between tight end and defensive end since signing there in 2019. A prep athlete in the state of Arkansas (where he became friends with 2021 signee Tyas Martin), Toll did everything for Hazen High School. As a recruit, he had offers from plenty of SEC schools, and rebuffed offers from LSU, Oklahoma, and Auburn to stay home.
His high school tape is honestly kind of comical. He is so obviously larger and more athletic than everyone he’s playing against, it’s hard to take anything away from the tape. At CU, he will be playing DE, which is an indicator of a more hybrid front for the Buffs.
im going to University of Colorado Boulder go buffs,,,/////870➿ ➰ ➿720{@TyasMartin2 }
