Mike Mariscal. Tom Louen. To some, these are average-looking semi-athletic guys that may play the occasional game of pick up ball in the park. To fans of the Colorado Buffaloes, they are legends. Colorado Football has a long and torrid love affair with punters, but recently they have been pedestrian at special teams. Karl Dorrell is to change that in the 2021 class. He has already gained a commitment from the world’s first six-star kicker, Josh Bryan. Now he adds one of the best punters in the country, Ashton Logan.
Logan hails from Orange Lutheran High School in Southern California, an important area for the Buffs to recruit. He has a bevy of offers from Ivy League schools and service academies, which indicates that he is more than capable academically. he should be a boost to the APR of the athletic department, and more importantly, succeed at a school like the University of Colorado.
I have no tape for this punter, and you shouldn’t want me to have tape. He kicks the ball hard, what else do you need?
