There were not many former CU commits that needed cajoling from Mel Tucker to stay on. They were immediately sold on his vision or left for different schools. Tarik Luckett needed to wooed, especially with programs like Oregon after him. But wooed he was, and now he signs with the Colorado Buffaloes.

The four-star (according to 247 Sports) from Southern California powerhouse Junipero Serra High School chose CU over plenty of Pac-12 options. In the end, he narrowed his schools down to Oregon, Washington State, Colorado State, and CU before he picked Coach Chiaverini and company. At 6’3, 190, Luckett is a big body that Chiv loves to mold into a monster.
