Early Signing Day 2020: Louis Passarello is a Colorado Buffalo!

The tight end from California makes it official

NCAA Football: Oregon State at Colorado Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

Colorado Football is going to out-physical teams in 2020 and beyond. As we saw in 2019, Mel Tucker is going to go straight at teams until one of them quits. With this recruiting class and beyond, Tucker is trying to find guys that won’t quit and will punch a team in the mouth over and over again. Louis Passarello is one of those guys.

From Palo Alto high school in Palo Alto, California, Passarello is another Northern California addition to the team. Louis even bigger than fellow tight end Caleb Fauria, standing at a solid 6’5 and 240 pounds. As a recruit, he was contemplating MWC offers until CU swooped in when they saw the potential.

Louis is a well-rounded tight end recruit. He excels at blocking, but that is not the extent of his skill set. He has surprisingly clean routes for how big he is, and he does a great job of making himself available to the QB. He naturally high points the ball, which lends itself to some red zone targets as his career progresses. The thing that will get him on the field is his blocking. I see a little of TE legend Sean Irwin in Passarello’s game.

Welcome, Louis!
