Talented California Athlete Joins the Colorado Buffaloes

Just wait until you see his name

NCAA Football: California at Colorado Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

Folks, Colorado Football is building a contender. Not quite yet for the conference or national championship, but the all-name team is going to feature a lot of Buffaloes in the near future. The 2020 recruiting class alone features a running back named Ashaad and a fullback named Jayle Stacks. But those pale in comparison to the glory that is Montana Lemonious-Craig.

Montana Lemonious-Craig, or MLC because I’m a lazy writer, is an all-time in the name department. He also happens to be really good at playing football. From Inglewood High School in Inglewood, California (heavily featured in Dr. Dre and 2Pac’s “California Love”), MLC plays both sides of the ball. He was a huge part in his school’s turnaround from winless to undefeated in between his junior and senior year. As a senior, he averaged over 20 yards a catch and also became a ball-hawking safety. Lemonious-Craig held offers from Arizona, Auburn, Boise State, and every California school not named USC or UCLA.

MLC is a playmaker. At 6’2 and around 200 pounds, he has great size for receiver or DB, and he is being recruited for both for the Buffaloes. His ball skills in the air or ridiculous, and he has great body control at all times. Contested catches become easy catches for Montana. Depending on where he factors in at the next level, he could see the field early, which seems to be a trend with this class.

Welcome, Montana!
