Colorado is looking everywhere for the talent that will lead to a better season in 2018. After a great finish to the class in December, more pieces keep being connected to the Buffs, and these players are ready to contribute immediately. Junior college players and even a graduate transfer are populating the 2018 class. Add one more big body to that list in Alex Tchangam.
Tchangam, from De Anza College in California, adds a much needed big body. By big, I mean massive. This is the guy you want for all of the promotional photos:

Alex is relatively new to the game of football, having immigrated from the country of Cameroon (birthplace of Forever Buff Stephane Nembot). He went to a small high school in Georgia and didn’t play organized football, so the junior college route made perfect sense. He still has a redshirt intact, so he has 3 to play 2.
Despite being raw, his physical gifts and mental acuity show through on highlights. He uses his hands really well for someone new to the game, and he bends the edge around the tackle very well. His freaky long arms help make up for his relatively short frame, and his 260 pounds let him set the edge. He will most likely play Derek McCartney’s old position of traditional 3-4 OLB opposite the Buff backer.
