Mel Tucker didn’t wait long to surprise fans. The third chronological signing of early signing day and the 2nd from the United States didn’t show up on any commitment lists or recruiting articles. He wasn’t even connected to CU. But now, Janaz Jordan is a Buff.
Jordan goes to Hinds Community College, which is also where fellow 2019 Buff Jeremiah Doss attends (it’s in Mississippi). Jordan is a DT, and he plays on the inside of the line. Janaz appears to be a solid 6’4 and 300 pounds and he’s physical.
Based off the 1 minute of highlights that CU tweeted out, which isn’t much, Janaz is your prototypical DT. He won’t win any speed awards, but he holds his blocks well and sticks to his assignments. Clearly, Tucker wasn’t impressed with the DL depth and is trying to quickly shore up the lines.
Welcome to the number one college town, Janaz!
