One more! Terrance Lang Signs with the Buffaloes

The versatile California athlete signs with the Buffs!

NCAA Football: Nicholls State at Colorado Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

Another prospect has jumped to the good guys as Terrance Lang has joined the Buffaloes. A great recruiting get by Mike MacIntyre and company, and shows that persistence pays off. I may sound like a broken record, but Lang is a big time player, and he joins a class of fellow big time players. It’s very rare that a prospect can look down on Jim Jeffcoat, but here we are.

Terrance hails from Pasadena, California, on the outskirts of Los Angeles. He was a two way star for Marantha High School, excelling at DL and tight end/fullback. He is all of 6-5 and 280 pounds, and uses all of it. But it’s not all smashmouth for Lang. He has amazing speed for his size, hence the tight end role, and his quickness went to work on the defensive line as well.

It is a joy to watch the big fella rumble. I mean, he can really scoot for his size. First off the ball no matter what side of the line of scrimmage he is on, Lang beats people early and often. His size affords him many opportunities not available otherwise, and he has surprisingly good balance for someone that large. He could play on either side of the ball for the Buffs and do just fine. At offensive tackle, he would be in the Stephane Nembot mold, an athletic freak who is as strong as an ox. At defensive end, he could fit in the Calais Campbell role, a disruptive edge-setting monster. Both sound good to me.

Welcome, Terrance!
