It’s been a relatively quiet buildup to National Signing Day for the Buffs, but there’s some fireworks left. Any time a prospect the caliber of Jared Poplawski signs with the Buffs, it’s time for celebration. Any time a division rival loses a player to CU from their own state, it’s time for celebration. Any time someone who’s last name is Poplawski is coming to the Buffs, IT’S TIME FOR CELEBRATION! The big tight end from Saguaro High School has signed to come to Boulder.
This is a big boy that can scoot. Poplawski gets up the field in a hurry, and his routes have a surprising amount of deft given how much heft he’s moving. But he’s not just a big receiver, Poplawski can block, too. It’s not only his name that’s reminiscent of Klopfenstein. Jared is a great edge blocker, something of great import in this offensive scheme so far.
He could factor in pretty early for the Buffs, and once CU can attack the middle of the field with a big body and soft hands.
Welcome, Jared!
