K.D Nixon signs with the Buffs!

The electric Texas WR makes it official

NCAA Football: UCLA at Colorado Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

Speed is something that the Colorado Buffaloes have always had a lot of. J.J. Flanagan, Kordell Stewart, Rashaan Salaam, Hugh Charles, Jeremy Bloom, and Paul Richardson have all blown by everyone from time to time. CU can always stampede with the best of them. K.D. Nixon is the next entry in the storied hall of speedsters for the Buffs. But Nixon’s not just speed, he’s thick and shifty, too. Another Texas baller on the way to Boulder.

Like a few players on the way to CU, Nixon is from the Dallas area, playing at DeSoto High School. He dominated against the highest level of competition in the Lone Star State, and has been highly recruited for quite a while. CU had to hold off a few suitors at the very end in order to secure Nixon’s signature. It’s easy to see why.

Woo, that is fun to watch. Nixon just finds a way to blow up the game. Out of the backfield, in the slot, returning a punt, K.D can and will take it all the way to the end zone. He has shiftyness, agility, strength to break through arm tackles, and that intoxicating SPEEEEEEEED. He will play early for the Buffs, and in a few ways. He will compete immediately for kickoff returns and punt returns, and he is too explosive to keep on the bench for all season on offense.

Welcome, K.D!
