Laviska Shenault Signs with the Buffs!

The Texas tough WR makes it official

NCAA Football: Alamo Bowl-Oklahoma State vs Colorado Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Another early adopter of the Buffs, Laviska Shenault’s wait is over, as he has officially signed to the Buffs. The biggest wideout in this class of studs on the outside, Shenault brings some punch to the receiving corps. His blocking is a perfect for this scheme, and if you’re like me and you love physical receivers, Shenault’s play is a dream.

Laviska is one of two commits from DeSoto High School, a 6A state champion in Texas this year. A Texas state championship is big, but a 6A state championship in the heart of Dallas is huge. DeSoto is a factory for D1 players, and for Shenault to stand out in that environment is telling.

The first two plays in the highlight reel tell you all you need to know. First, Laviska does a Larry Fitzgerald box out of the defensive back and scores the touchdown. Then, he cathes a simple curl, spins out of the tackle, and laughs at the rest of the attempted tackles all the way to the end zone. Big, fast, physical, and strong as an ox. Shenault will do just fine in Boulder.

Welcome, Laviska!
