There’s always a few recruits that come out of nowhere. Somehow they slip through the cracks and they don’t get found by the big boys. Well, unless the big boys are CU. This staff has always done a marvelous job identifying undervalued talent in tucked away corners of the earth. Isaiah Oliver somehow had 0 FBS offers. Steven Montez had one when CU found him. Ahkello Witherspoon had lower level FBS offers when Coach MacIntyre got him to come to Boulder. Now, another player in another remote area is joining the Buffs. In Colorado, no less!
Jalen Sami, the mammoth from Vista Ridge High School, is coming to CU. If you haven’t heard of Vista Ridge High School, it’s a little new school down in Colorado Springs. Sami is anything but little, however. He is all of 6’5 and all of 350 pounds. and he can MOVE. He plays out of position at defensive end, but he will be a nose tackle for the Buffs.
I'm glad to announce that I will be continuing my education & football career at CU Boulder! #GoBuffs#Blessed#D1 pic.twitter.com/nuaZRvUFwS
