JUCO defensive back commits to the Buffaloes

The second commitment in 24 hours for Mike MacIntyre and Co.

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

CU received doubly good news yesterday, as Jalin Burrell pledged to the Buffs. Burrell joins the Buffs by way of Moorpark College in California, a junior college in one of the best states for them. When you watch his highlights, it's easy to see why the Buffs jumped at this guy. He's big, physical, and plays like he's big and physical. Despite switching to defense very recently, he shows well on tape technique-wise, though he does need to work on his stance pre-snap. Burrell is redshirting this fall and will transfer to Boulder in January with two years to play two. I can't overstate how important this is for JuCO players. Burrell gets to join CU for spring weightlifting and conditioning, and he has five extra months to integrate himself with the team.
