Buffaloes land verbal commit from blue-chip wide receiver

Laviska Shenault becomes the second 4-star receiver in the 2017 class.

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

There's been a lot of build up for the Colorado Buffaloes 2017 recruiting class and a verbal commitment tonight from Laviska Shenault is another step closer to realizing those big expectations. Head coach Mike MacIntyre has put a staff in place that is off to one of the hottest starts to recruiting in recent memory.

Shenault is a consensus 4-star wide receiver out of Desoto, Texas, a high school football powerhouse that the Buffaloes would be well served to form stronger relationships with. Shenault has a very impressive offer list and is a versatile prospect that played outside and slot receiver, tight end and H-back so far in his high school career, averaging over 17 yards per reception last season.

Shenault is the fourth verbal in the 2017 class and the second 4-star wide receiver.

Welcome aboard, Laviska!
