After a quiet period in recruiting, the Buffs are back at it again. Dante Wigley, a physical defensive back currently playing at Holmes Community College, has committed to join the Buffs as a mid-year transfer. After visiting for the Utah win, Wigley was sold on the Buffs and will have three years to play three. CU has had success with defensive junior college transfers relatively recently, and Wigley will join Afolabi Laguda as part of a brand new secondary. There's a lot to like about Dante's tape. He looks a lot like a MacIntyre cornerback. Long, mean, and physical. Wigley is tough in run support and jams receivers at the line of scrimmage. He excels in man coverage and seems to like being "put on an island." Wigley is a valuable addition to a secondary that needs to reload next season.
Welcome, Dante!
