DeSoto High School is beginning to look like a Colorado pipeline and the Buffaloes couldn’t be happier. Xavier Newman is the latest Eagle to join The Rise, and the recent Texas decommit is a big get for the Buffs. Newman has an impressive offer list that crosses the United States. Xavier joins teammate Laviska Shenault on the commit list, with KD Nixon also strongly considering the Buffs.

Newman shows some impressive size and strength on his tape. He can lock his arms and shut down the pass rusher, and his feet move well enough. He plays tackle in high school, but he’ll move inside to guard in college. He carries his weight well and should come in ready for a college strength and conditioning program. He will play sooner rather than later.
Welcome, Xavier!
